Vuokatti's activities

Hiidenporti's peaceful nature and rugged gorges are a great way to spend a day. There are a total of 30 km of marked routes in the national park. Hiidenportti is perfect for a day trip.

A viewing platform is located on top of the Vuokatin slopes. From the top of Vaara, the landscapes open in the direction of Vuokatti and Sotkamo. Vaara is easily accessible by car and there is a parking area at the end of the road. Vuokatintie 40, 88610 Vuokatti.

Laahtanen is a small lake with clear water. The hiking trail goes around the lake. You can walk through the swampy sections with long sticks, so your shoes won't get wet. There are many marked sites along the route, such as wartime trenches and coal mines. Laahtanen is the perfect Ruskaretki destination. Laahatanen is located in Ristijärvi, about half an hour's drive from Vuokatti.
